Connect a WordPress Site: Add It Once, Then Publish, Analyse and Improve Without Leaving TechsGenius

T By TechsGenius Editorial Jun 29, 2026 1 views

Add your WordPress site once and it becomes a one-click publish target. From then on you can publish, analyse and improve that site without ever leaving TechsGenius.

What connecting a site does

The Manage Site screen is where you connect the places you publish — WordPress, Django, Facebook, Shopify and Wix. Once a WordPress site is verified, it shows up as a destination everywhere you publish, and you can pull its posts into the Analyser Editor to score and optimise them. Connect once, work from one place.

Connect a site at a glance
  1. Open Manage Site
  2. Click + Add WordPress Site
  3. Enter the site URL & an application password
  4. Test the connection — credential OK ✓
  5. It becomes a one-click publish target
  6. Publish, analyse & improve from the editor

Step-by-step

1Open Manage Site & add WordPress

Do this
  1. From the top bar (or the editor), open Manage Site.
  2. Click + Add WordPress Site.
What you’ll see

A “Publishing Accounts” screen with add buttons for WordPress, Django, Facebook, Shopify and Wix, plus your already-connected sites and a remote-publish quota.

2Enter your site & verify

Do this
  1. Paste your site URL.
  2. Add an application password (created in your WordPress user profile).
  3. Click Test to verify the connection.
Tip
Use a WordPress Application Password rather than your login password — it’s safer and you can revoke it any time.

3It becomes a one-click publish target

Once verified, the site appears as a destination in the publish window — e.g. “WordPress: yoursite.com”. Your new site is now a one-click publish target in the Analyser Editor.

4Publish, analyse & improve — all in one place

Write or generate a post, pick the site, and Save & Publish. You can also pull existing posts from the site into the editor to Re-analyze and optimise them — see the Optimise a Post walkthrough.

Tips

  • Always Test after adding a site so you catch credential issues before publishing.
  • Connect multiple sites — each one becomes its own publish destination.
  • Use Edit to update credentials and Remove to disconnect a site.
  • Re-test if a site shows a stale “last verified” date.
